Last updated: August 2026. These are the terms and conditions on which Maintain-Heat Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") provides its services. By accepting a quotation, booking a service, or allowing us to carry out work, you ("the Customer") agree to these terms.

Quotations and estimates
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise.
- A quotation is a fixed price for the work described. An estimate is our best assessment and the final cost may vary.
- Any work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately and agreed with you before we proceed.
- Whether prices include or exclude VAT will be stated clearly on your quotation.
Payment
- For larger jobs, such as boiler or air conditioning installations, a deposit may be required to secure materials and a booking date. Where a deposit applies, the amount will be confirmed on your quotation before any work is booked.
- Payment for completed work is due on completion, unless alternative terms have been agreed with you in writing.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, card or cash.
- Late payments may incur interest and reasonable recovery costs in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Goods and materials supplied remain our property until they have been paid for in full.
Cancellations and rescheduling
- Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a booked appointment.
- Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, or where materials have already been ordered specifically for your job, may be subject to a charge to cover those materials and the reserved time.
- Consumers have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where applicable; these do not affect your statutory rights.
Access and site conditions
- You agree to provide safe, clear and timely access to the work area, along with a supply of water, gas and electricity as required.
- Please make us aware of any known hazards, such as asbestos, structural issues, or hidden pipework or wiring, before work begins.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by lack of access, or by third parties working on the same site.
Workmanship guarantee and manufacturer warranties
- Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion, covering faults arising from our installation.
- Parts, appliances and equipment carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which we will register on your behalf where applicable. Manufacturer warranty terms and durations vary by product.
- Guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, lack of servicing, damage by others, or faults on existing systems or parts we did not supply.
- Boilers and gas appliances should be serviced annually to keep the manufacturer's warranty valid.
Powerflushing and system cleansing
- Where we install a new boiler or heat source onto an existing heating system, we may recommend a powerflush, which is a chemical cleanse of the system to remove sludge and debris. This protects the new appliance and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty.
- If you decline a recommended powerflush, we cannot accept liability for reduced performance, breakdowns, damage, or warranty claims that arise from debris in your existing system, and any resulting remedial work will be chargeable.
- Where a powerflush is carried out, it is intended to improve the circulation and efficiency of your system. On older systems it can occasionally reveal pre-existing weaknesses, such as leaks on aged radiators or valves, which are not caused by the flush and are not our responsibility.
Safety and regulatory compliance
- All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers in accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
- All refrigerant and air conditioning work is carried out under our F-Gas (REFCOM) registration in accordance with the F-Gas Regulations.
- Where required, we will notify installations to the relevant body, such as Building Regulations, Gas Safe, or the manufacturer, and provide the appropriate certificates.
- If we identify a situation that is unsafe, such as a dangerous gas appliance, we are obliged to make it safe and advise you accordingly.
Liability
- We hold public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law.
- We are not liable for pre-existing defects, or for consequential loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the works carried out, save where the law provides otherwise.
Complaints
- If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, please contact us at maintainheat@gmail.com or 07725 029186 and we will aim to respond within 5 working days.
- We will always try to put things right. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
